Creating a shortcut in OneDrive to a SharePoint Folder

Navigate to the TOP LEVEL Sharepoint folder that contains the sub folders to which you would like to save a document. Do not create shortcuts in sub folders.  Only save to folders at the  Top level under "Documents".

Correct Example.  "General" folder is a "top level" folder.


It would be incorrect to create a short cut to a lower level like the "Sub Folder" folder under Documents. 


Click the "Add shortcut to OneDrive" icon: 

This will add a shortcut on your One Drive with a folder that has an 'infinity' sign. Example is below. 


You can now click on this icon and drill down as you would have with the old "S" Drive, and drag and drop the document the location needed.
