Tips for Printing from
Horizon
Do
not print client related information when working remotely. Also do not
email client information or other HCRS information to your personal email
account to print it. These are both against policy and risk exposing
client information in violation of our HIPAA and data protection policies.
If
your printer is not connecting while inside Horizon; here are some tips to help
get it connected.
NOTE:
Though
printers connected through Wi-Fi will work while in Horizon, we highly suggest
using a USB printer for a better experience.
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the laptop, and is powered on BEFORE opening Horizon
- While inside of Horizon, hover your mouse at the top of the screen until the Horizon menu drops down, click on USB Devices, and ensure your printer is in the "On" position. See below
- If print jobs are still not going through, close out of horizon, turn off the printer, turn the printer back on, and then reconnect to Horizon
- If the problem persists, call IT at extension 2294 or open a ticket by emailing IT@hcrs.org
